High-Frequency Position Servo Control of Hydraulic Actuator with Valve Dynamic Compensation

Hydraulic actuators play an important role in various industries. In the last decades, to improve system performance, some advanced control methods have been developed. Backstepping control, which can deal with nonlinearities, is widely used hydraulic motion control. This paper focuses on high-frequency position servo of systems proportional valves. backstepping controllers, valve dynamics are usually ignored due difficulty controller implementation. this paper, were decoupled into phase delay and amplitude delay. The compensated without increasing order. by desired engine lifts transformation. For delay, proposes a compensation strategy based integral flow error. By introducing feedback error controller, has faster dynamic responses. Besides, also synthesized dead-zone uncertainties. comparative experiment results show that lift tracking precision both steady transient conditions.
